Future Vision @ Freshwater Christian College
In today’s rapidly-changing workplace, forward thinking is an absolute necessity. That is why here at Freshwater Christian College, we already have plans in place for new classroom blocks and technology expansion. This will allow for increased student numbers, enhanced lesson delivery and improved student-to-computer ratios in the future.
The latest teaching aids such as interactive white boards are part of our plans to create the most up-to-the-minute learning environments.
Our ability to deliver as an organisation will continue to hinge on our greatest asset, however: our people. For this reason, Freshwater will continue to uphold its high standard of employing professional, Christian staff, and remains committed to equipping them with the latest professional development to ensure best practice in teaching and learning.
We also encourage social interaction and community among our staff to build camaraderie and better working relationships, and ultimately make Freshwater Christian College a great place to work, as well as learn.
This approach to college life has already demonstrated results outstanding achievements from the students of Freshwater – previously Cairns Christian College. Most recently our students claimed first place in the 2007 North Queensland Rock Eisteddfod and second place in the 2007 Australasian Tournament of the Minds competition, demonstrating all-round high achievement.
Freshwater will also continue to offer the advantage of learning within a supportive, family community that includes Pastoral support to ensure your child can make the most of every opportunity. |
