Our campus which is located on 13 hectares in a beautiful rural setting currently accommodates 340 students in air-conditioned classrooms. Plans are currently in place to grow to 600 students.
freshwater : delivering the vision....
Prep (age 5)… Awonderful full day program designed to lay the foundation to begin formal school work with
confidence and success by fostering positive attitudes in children, developing skills and supplying a broad range
of experiences all in a safe compassionate and understanding environment.
Primary Years Grades 1 to 6 (ages 6-11)…Emphasis is placed on establishing firm foundations in literacy,
numeracy, character development and developing a love for God in these young lives. As a Christian College we
seek to nurture each student's Christian faith and facilitate the formation of their attitudes and values from their
first day.
Middle School Grades 7-9 (ages 12-14)… The “seamless” nature of the curriculum ensures that there is a smooth
non-frightening leap between primary and secondary school. Core subjects are English, Mathematics, Science,
Study of Society and Environment, Physical Education and Christian Living. Electives are Information Technology,
Food Technology, Construction, Drama, Art, Music and Textiles.
Senior Years
Grades 10-12 (ages 15-17)… Our commitment is to assist students identify future options to enable
them to gain preferred acceptance into University, Business College and the work force through continued
academic development. Core subjects are English, Mathematics, Christian Living and electives are Chemistry,
Physics, Biology, Legal Studies, Business, Physical Education, Visual Art, and History.

At Freshwater Christian College we offer more with the school based Traineeship and Apprenticeship program and Structural Workplace Learning available to students after Year 9.
ACertificate 1 in Career Education is available during Year 10 with Certificate ll in Business available through
Years 11 to 12. We also have access to a range of TAFE courses.
Leadership training, outdoor education camps and excursions, creative ministry, drama & dance, music tuition, community service activities and more are all extra-curricula activities designed to add excitement and fun while learning to achieve a complete school life. Students of all ages and abilities are encouraged to participate.
Our physical education program emphasises participation as well as competition. The ability to function within a team and a sense of fair-play are seen as vital to sound character development. The sporting program includes swimming, cross country, athletics, basketball, netball, touch football, volley ball and a variety of other team and individual sports. |
